While you were goneTime stands still as I realize the truth of death and life  Moments seem to slip into obscurity, hiding from each other's gaze  Each thought of you, it just falls further into darkness, and blurred within my hopeless daze

Poem of a Lonely Heart No. 4It was so simple at first  Nothing but you and me  The world seemed to melt away  As we walked through our dreamland  Our intentions honorable  Our memories so fond now  Our actions seemed to say  That love would last anyway   
These thoughts slowly erode away my will  As I'm pressed to just forget about you  Friends dear tell me I was too good for you  But the very notion finds me ill  To sit and then be still   
A part of me does die  
During every contemplation  A desperate act to find  Reconciliation

Pride -sonnet No. 7-I am the ideal politician  
I hide from no one and I'm not afraid  I don't back down from my opposition  I tower over every threat that's made  My weapons are the words with which I speak  As deadly as a poison in your drink  With just a word I'll make your future bleak  With lies woven so thick as if from ink  
I am the superior intellect  None other can match my intelligence  In my mind, a shield made to deflect  So others' thoughts will bow in deference  Give it up, for from me you cannot hide  I am the realization of all pride Pride -sonnet No. 7-

Sonnet To A FriendThe world is now coming to its' swift end  But time just seems to stop around you now  As the people breaking your heart depend  On you to show them strength to live somehow  It's hard to remain when you want to run  While silence waits to wrap you in its' arms  Referring to the fabled "smoking gun"  The cause of all your pains and all your harms  When sympathetic ears can't seem to quench  The troubles and the sorrows of your soul  Where the scars seem too deeply entrenched  After leaving the widening, gaping hole  I cannot help you to outrun this strife  Please remember there' Sonnet To A Friend

leaves.beauty  for what a gift  left for me to wonder  day by day   
as i stare to the images  of dancing trees  to the rustling leaves  not carried by the wind   
if the leaves ever so fall  tenderly  none of them will reach me  or will i stop

Stairway to nowhere   
gently sloping,  into the eternal sky  it twists in and out  of soft, billowing clouds   
Once, it called to me,  a sweet temptation  because even though i might trip  and tumble into  the hard, unforgiving ground  I could only imagine the view   
that's why i took those first steps  and now i wonder why  half way up, ive lost faith  in these stairs,  that have begun to tremble  under the weight of this wicked metaphor

I can't sleep

well, it's a quarter til' one and i can't sleep.
So to cure my insomnia, i'm going to write a journal
ever notice how life can be really exciting AND really boring at the same time......... well that's me right now
I mean, my band is going really well. we got a new member just a few weeks ago to help me out with both the singing and guitar work,
we're writing some awesome new songs now, and are even looking for a place to record a demo. so things are pretty exciting in the band.
but everything else is just boring me to tears. for instance, I was excited to go and get the oil changed on my truck, (yes i realize that that is pathetic) cause my typical schedule goes like this; wake up, drive my sister to school, go home, do online college, do laundry, do dishes, make dinner, watch tv, go to sleep, repeat cycle.
I can't even get out of the house cause my truck is such a gas hog
not to mention the embarrassing fact that i'm eighteen and still don't have a girlfriend(once again, I know that that's pathetic)
so I can't even go out an a date to relieve this boredom.
but, i'm starting to get tired, so i guess writing this journal really helped in that aspect.
